The work that changes how you stand in your own life

When the same pattern keeps returning, when grief has nowhere to go, when a relationship breaks in the same place, systemic therapy and family constellations reach what talking alone cannot. Trauma-informed, and led by you.

Cecilia Altieri

For more than fifteen years I have sat with people in the hardest parts of their lives. The stuck pattern that will not shift. The grief with nowhere to go. The relationship that keeps breaking in the same place. My work is to help you see the system you are part of, and to find your own footing inside it.

I also train the people who do this work. As founder and director of EISEC, the European Institute for Systemic Education and Coaching, I teach the facilitators who go on to run constellations and hold groups of their own. The grounding I bring to a session is the grounding I teach.

What I do

The web you are part of, made visible

I work systemically. I look at you as part of a living web of relationships, past and present, that shapes how you feel and act today. Family constellations, the method I am known for, makes that web visible in the room so it can move.

Most people who reach me have already tried hard on their own. The same difficulty keeps returning in a new form. A relationship stays stuck however carefully you handle it. A decision will not come clear. Something from further back still shapes the present, and you cannot quite name it.

What brings people to me usually falls into a few shapes.

You do not need the right words for any of this before you come. Bringing it is enough.

How I work

Quiet, and led by you

A session with me is quiet and led by you. You bring what is alive now, in your own words. There is nothing to prepare and nothing you need to understand first. Together we bring the relevant people and forces into view, find where the real movement is, and do a small, careful piece of systemic work with it. You stay in charge throughout.

Much of what I do can be done one to one, without the other person in the room, and it still moves the relationship. I work online and in person from Brussels, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with people across Europe and beyond. Sessions sit in a European working day, which matters more than it sounds if you have looked for this work online and met only the small hours of another continent.

My focus is regulation and trauma, and here this practice does something almost no constellation work does. I am a licensed provider of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), the listening-based intervention developed from Stephen Porges' polyvagal work and delivered through Unyte, for adults and for children. It works directly with the nervous system, alongside the systemic work. If that is what brought you here, there is a dedicated page for it.

I draw on attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and the constellation-systemic tradition, and I keep close to the evidence that grounds them.

About me

Fifteen years and more in the room

I completed my psychology degree at UNED in Spain, read medicine and psychology for three years at university in Uruguay, and hold a coaching diploma from the University of Cambridge. I trained in family constellations at ISPAB in Munich, with Ursula Franke-Bryson and Thomas Bryson, and I have translated Franke-Bryson's books. What I trust most is the years of sitting in the room, and a discipline of staying close to the evidence.

I founded EISEC, the European Institute for Systemic Education and Coaching, and I direct its training. The practitioners you can book here trained in the method I teach, to the standard I set. When you work with this practice, you work inside that lineage, whoever you choose to sit with.

Alongside the practice I write. EISEC wrote its own curriculum, and I develop the clinical and teaching material the training runs on. The work on the page and the work in the room come from the same place.

A note on availability

What is open, and how it starts

I am taking new clients for family constellations and for sound therapy. What I am not doing is running a calendar you can book yourself into. I would rather hear from you first, and then find the time with you.

So it starts with a message. Tell me what you are looking for, and I will send you a link to a time that works, or tell you honestly if someone else here is the better fit.

My therapy practice is the one exception. It is full, and new clients join a waiting list rather than a diary.

The rarest thing I do

Sound therapy, if regulation is the sticking point

A listening-based way of working directly with the nervous system, informed by polyvagal theory, for adults and for children. Almost nobody in this field can pair it with constellation work. If trauma, sensory difficulty, or a body that stays on alert is part of what brings you here, start there →

You do not have to decide everything today. Put your name on the list, look at the protocol, meet the team, or stay in touch. Whichever you choose, it reaches a real person.

Scope and safety

The right support at the right time

Sessions support change in how you live, relate and decide. They sit alongside medical and psychological care, and they do not replace it.

If you are in crisis right now, or you are having thoughts of harming yourself, please turn first to your doctor, to a crisis line where you live, or to the emergency services. If you are being treated for a psychiatric condition, or you have questions about medication, that care belongs with your prescriber, and our work can run alongside it.

If you are unsure where to start, ask us. We will tell you honestly whether this is the right support for you now.
